MMMMM , let´s see if I don´t forget anything.
The lakes are really big and you cannot see where they finish. I imagine they are really deep at some point but I don´t know. Swim?????? I DON´T THINK I COULD SWIM!! the water was so cold that you could feel the feet freezing!!
The cottage belongs to Alan, the host of other teacher coming to Canada and it is really beautiful. The big kitchen ,the dinning room and the living room had huge windows opened to the lake, so it was amazing!! I can show you more pictures when I come back.
The animal with the uniform is a moose but we didn´t see any alive!! :(
Coming back!!!!

Gatineau

And now my report about this weekend!!
There is a very famous park, forest... I don´t really know how to name it. It is a natural area really huge!! . It is a very famous place in Canada because of the wonderful landscapes and the wonderful sight you may get of the Autumn and its  colours. Since this is such a well known place we decided to go there for hiking on Saturday but we were so so so lucky because the host family of one of the Galician teachers has got a cottage there so he invited us to spend the night there and keep on walking in the morning if we wanted to. So, of course, we accepted. But we could have never imagined that it was going to be so wonderful. The  cottage is by one of the big lakes and it even has a dock !! From the windows of the kitchen , living room and dining room you could see the lake, as quite as a mirror... and ... well , it is really difficult to explain, you have to feel it.
Here you have some pictures and I hope you will like them . We could hardly believe that everything was real . We seemed to be in a movie!!

I´ve tried a different way to upload the video so just tell me if this is better.
kissesssssssssssssssssssssssssss
eiiiiiiiiiiihhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job!! It was Lugo´s wall!! So... can you imagine how proud I could be??? I have been talking to them about Galicia and showed them some pictures and... here you are... they got it!!
You want to know what I have told them... welll , simple things just to have a general idea of the country. I showed them where we are, I talked to them about "chocolate con churros" , "flamenco", "corridas de toros" and "tortilla" and they I showed them lots of pictures of Galicia, our anthem, our music, some of our traditional costumes and dances, I talked to them about our seas and the food we get from them, our seafood, about octopus (which was really surprising for them..) ...

At the school!!!

Here I am with some children of 3 and 4 !!! After telling the tale.

Trying to answer!!!

Hello everybody
I have seen all your comments and all your questions!! My goodness!! I'll try to solve all your doubts
-NYC: It's the most amazing city you can imagine. No problem with dancing in the streets since it was Sunday morning al Wall Street so there was nobody there. As far as the bull.. .don't worry , I was thinking of our crisis and rubbing it energically to get money for all of us!!
The statue of liberty... I haven't got there, just the trip on the boat by the bay !!
-Toronto : It's also a very beautiful city, in fact it is quite similar to NYC but quite smaller, so... a kind of decaf NY!! but great anyway and full of life since there are many students, in fact it is the biggest city in Canada.
-Thousand Islands: It was REALLY COLD!!! indeed, but it was sunny so you needed the sunglasses just to protect your eyes from the wind and the sun. We couldn't visit any ot those beautiful houses since they are private properties, you know, they belong to really "poor" people.
-Niagara Falls: They are really amazing!! The first impression was a kind of WAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW , besides ,the first sight we had of them was from above, when we were going up the tower in a cristal elevator so , when they suddenly appeared in front of us... we couldn't believe such beauty was in front of us. I will show more pictures when I got them where you can see they quite near since we went on a boat and got completely wet for we were too close. It was really great!!
-The school : Well, of course, they CAN'T speak Spanish , so I have to speak English with them  all the time, there's no other way. My contact teacher is teaching to 4 and 5 years old children so that is my "headquarter" but then I visit many different classes because there are teachers who want me to go there to tell the students things about me. So I am teaching them many things about Spain and Galicia, showing them our way of life, some of our traditions, our food, our folclore... so they really enjoy the thing.
The black man you see in the picture is not my bodyguard...(undortunately... hahahah) He is a student of something related to social helper and they have to do some training at schools to see how teachers work with children and learn how to help them. That was a class of 5th grade. I've also been to one of 2nd and 3rd in French, (inmersion class where they are taught completely in French and get only forty daily minutes in English)
I will also show you some pictures of the job the little children of my contact teacher did yesterday about Spain and Galicia. I even told them the story of Garbancito (do you remember the tale? when he is eaten by a cow?) and it was great. They learnt in Spanish the song (pachin, pachin, pachin, mucho cuidado....) and sang with me. They couldn't close their eyes, they were paying so much attention
-Differences at school: YES, lots of them. The first thing is that they don't have textbooks at any level ,they only work with projects and have to develop a different one each week. I'll also show you some pictures of the classes and the schedules for everyday , so that you can figure out. I hope not to forget because I have to do it when I get home, where I have the pictures, now , I'm at school
So... Hope I haven't forgotten anything!!!
Thanks a lot for being there and KISSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as to the houses at the Thousand Islands... yes, they do have boats at home so... no problem to go shopping. Great place to live in , isn´t it??
The CN tower in Toronto... well , the worst thing was the feeling in my ears while going up but once you see the city from there you forget everything!!!
hahahah
Kisses for you all.
Coming back soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Niágara Falls

Amazing as you can see. Maybe I´ll get some more pictures but here you have some just to have an idea.
There are two waterfalls, one belongs to Canada and the other one to the USA because this is Niágara river which is also the border between both countries and goes to lake Ontario.

Toronto

This is the largest city in Canada. It´s really beautiful and full of life , a kind of "little NYork". We went up to the CN tower from where you can see ..."Torontoentero"

Just try with the videos because I am not sure if you will be able to see them, Just tell me
